Meet the Team

Miranda is the person in our office who works with the hi-tech equipment. As our highly trained optometric technician she performs all the special testing such as retinal photos, visual fields and ocular coherence tomographies (OCTs). Miranda has worked as an optometric technician for five years and is currently studying for her Paraoptometric Certification. Miranda was born and raised in western North Carolina and currently lives in Waynesville with her husband and Tucker, Maggie, Finn, Addie, Binx and Dani-her two dogs and five cats. When not at work she enjoys being outdoors and spending time with family and friends.

Melody is the friendly, professional voice you hear when you call Kilgo Eye Care and the smiling face that greets you when you arrive for your appointment. She has worked in the optical field for over eleven years and can help interpret your vision and medical insurance coverage and will verify your eligibility. She is passionate about providing our patients with the highest level of service. She is originally from Ohio but has lived in western North Carolina for over twenty years. When she is not in the office she loves being with her very active grandsons. She enjoys the Asheville lifestyle, 80’s music and the Bengals football team.
